Paducah Flood Wall Title Panel

Paducah Wall to Wall, portraits of our past, commenced in the spring of 1996 and has been researched, designed and painted by the extraordinary team of Dafford muralists. Painted sepia-toned images of historical scenes provide the backdrop for the title. The mural depicts flora and fauna that are indigenous to Kentucky as well as the silhouette of a cardinal, the state bird. The names of Robert Dafford’s team of talented artists who have worked diligently on the project are listed beneath his name. The Dafford Mural team, based in Lafayette, LA, spends a couple of months each year in Paducah, painting and maintaining the project. They and the Floodwall Mural Advisory Board were dedicated to authenticity of each creation. Three blocks on the city side of the floodwall were completed in 2007.
Sponsored by the combined efforts of the Floodwall Mural Advisory Board and individual mural sponsors.
